In the Proper Style.

So the morning arrived, calmer, drier but seemingly no warmer. So after hearty full Scottish breakfast, this replaces the black pudding with Haggis, we prepared our selves better for the weather and departed the beautiful shores of Loch Ard, after all the Haggis ended up on Tony's plate which was later seen leaving the table empty. Hmmm!?

From here we were planning to reach Loch Oich where my staff assure me that we have not just excellent accommodation, but indeed we have a residence befitting a bear of my status. We will see.

Since the junior members of the Entourage had asked for it, we headed to Loch Lomond of the song fame and indeed reached it's shores at the village of Luss. This is a delightfully quaint and beautiful spot was treated to a rendition of the song "Loch Lomond" by Beth before the entire Entourage toured the village and of course found a tea house. The muffins could have passed as cakes, the scones as loaves and the ginger cake as ambrosia.

From here we made our way along the side of the loch before passing into the Highlands proper. The scenery was just stunning. From a raw, almost desolate ruggedness of the valley floor to the snow cover, cloud shrouded peaks before returning to the fertile shores of Lochs Linnhe and Lochy, the Entourage demanded that we make several stops along the way to take photos and try to capture some of the majesty that we were seeing.

Now there are times when my staff are good, occasions when I wish they belonged to someone else, and rare moments when they do something extraordinary. My accommodation  is more to my standard. Dinner was venison followed by a selection of Scottish cheeses.  Tonight I sleep in Glengarry castle.

      She was trying to tell her mother, that she, Sandra, had the fingers of a Pianist. However, by mutual agreement of the rest of the Entourage, that is not what Beth said and that Beth has been accurately quoted.

A Final Outing. So as to make amends for their earlier mistake, once they had finished breakfast at one of the nearby pubs, a bus load of Germans had arrived unexpectedly just before us, the Entourage and I eventually returned to the British museum. The space I have does not suffice to describe the museum and just the items on display. A week may not be sufficient to take it all in and do it justice. A lot of small doses might be a better way but even then it might take a month. After finally leaving the museum, we walked towards Trafalgar Square, passing by a little shop known as the “Orc’s Nest”. Along the North.

Along the North. So after a light breakfast we bid our host, his dog, and his house (dating from 1750) a fond farewell and headed off into the Scottish ... fog. The weather did not appear to be co-operating. Also not co-operating was Charlotte. For a time it seemed that she was now tamed and directing us only down wide, double laned roads of some note. However it gradually dawned on us that she was only lying quietly whilst she inflicted new tortures upon us. With no narrow hedge rowed lanes to send us down, she instead sent us through every roundabout she could find. And then, when the opportunity was there she sent us down the narrow country lanes. This time she was able to direct us to, through and over some of narrowest bridsges, with walls mind you. Still we may have found part of the problem with Charlotte. At one point she directed us into roadworks for a new major highway that she clearly knew nothing about. And later when crossing the Firth of Forth she clearly knew not...

I walk the Line.

I walk the Line. Not happy with hotel and what it calls food. Marcus had claimed yesterday that they could not spoil crissouants, and then immediately regreted his call. So this morning the Entourage set off in search of a better breakfast. Just around the corner from our hotel Tony had spied a small Greek cafe that offered breakfast which we all descended on. They proved to do an excellent English or Continental breakfast and the orange juice tasted like orange juice. All were well satisfied. From there our path took us across London, and its many train networks, to Greenwich and the old Royal Observatory. Here we spent much of the day looking at both the Observatory, Planetarium and the cafe. From here we sampled even more of the London rail network to arrive at Crystal Palace park once site of the World Exhibition.
