I walk the Line.
Not happy with hotel and what it calls food. Marcus had claimed yesterday that they could not spoil crissouants, and then immediately regreted his call. So this morning the Entourage set off in search of a better breakfast.Just around the corner from our hotel Tony had spied a small Greek cafe that offered breakfast which we all descended on. They proved to do an excellent English or Continental breakfast and the orange juice tasted like orange juice. All were well satisfied.
From there our path took us across London, and its many train networks, to Greenwich and the old Royal Observatory. Here we spent much of the day looking at both the Observatory, Planetarium and the cafe.
From here we sampled even more of the London rail network to arrive at Crystal Palace park once site of the World Exhibition. The reason for coming here was that in the grounds of Crystal Palace Park are life sized models of prehistoric creatures, including dinosaurs, that had been created as part of the that past World Expo. Yes only a team of nerds like that in my employ would look for such things. Oh well.
Returning to near our lodgings we choose to dine at the Phoenix pub. We ate very well on Mac & Cheese, Beef & Bacon burghers, and when it finally turned up, Chicken & Mushroom pie, all of an excellent quality. Desert was similarly enjoyed though how Beth did, eating and Ice cream Sundae outside at night in a breeze in London in April is something to be amazed at.
Quote of the Day;
"I didn't see the duck until I looked at it". Marcus.
"Where is Marcus? Oh there he is. Don't tell him but he is invisible to me.", Sandra.
Drinks of Note;
Aspell's Cider - a gentley tart apple cider with a strong fruity taste.
London Pilsner - a fairly mild version of the type with the classic Pilsner aftertaste.

Poor Marcus, he's inherited the infamous Ford invisibility gene. Dad and I both had/have it. Clearly Beth needs it if she wants to be a successful ninja. 'Duckles' - cute.
