A day of rest.

A day of Rest.

Can you believe it!?! My staff have insisted on a rest day. A REST DAY!??! So here I am on Holidays, halfway through my time here I might add, and the Entourage wants to do nothing today. Sigh.

So after a good breakfast, although Tony did try the kipppers and kept tasting fish all day, the Entourage did jump into the car to take the short drive to the centre of the village around the ferry terminal to visit Uig pottery and purchase some gifts as well as a nice vase for Sandra.

There on it was just relaxing in the room with only Tony heading out to do some walking. Walking?! Really. Just too much effort.

For dinner we had excellent broccoli and cheese soup or some of the excellent local pork. Dessert was a harder choice with all choosing something different but still very good.

Tomorrow will be a long day as we intend to travel to the far end of the island, literally the far end, drive across the Highlands, down Loch Ness and back to Inverness. While we do have a number of stops planned it will be a long day in the car.

Quote of the Day;
"Watch out for the rabbits!", Beth, whilst asleep.

Drinks of Note;
Skye Ale's India Pale Ale -  a straw coloured example of the type with excellent hops taste without too much bitterness.

Uig Wood.

The village.

One of the many little streams.

More of Uig Wood.
The Rhubarb Pavlova.

The Crannagh.

The Dark Chocolate Tart.

The Sticky Toffee Pudding.
"Don't leave ME!"

  1. Watch out for the rabbits - good advice for life in general, really.
