The Trip and the Arrival.
Well we are finally here. The flight seemed endless and whilst my entourage enjoyed economy class with movies, food and music, they forgot to take me out of my bag. They also managed to book into a normal hotel rather than the luxury ship hotel right next door.UK border control was endless. It seemed to take longer to get out of the airport than it did to fly from Dubai. The London Tube was it's usual effcient self though it did take 3 changes of line to reach our destination with the last trip on the DLR made in a driverless train.
The weather was, well, English. No rain but rather a brisk 10 degrees compared to the 30 in Sydney and the 27 (at midnight) in Dubai. Getting out coats revealed that Tony's shaving cream had "exploded" filling his shaving bag and then oozing out to get on some clothes and the "Lonely Planet" (not badly but still). Out of sympathy Beth and Sandra bought him a new toothbrush, but got a pink one as punishment.
All the party have eaten well and maybe slept a little too much in the afternoon but we are all glad to be here and off the plane.
PS. so far the internet connections have been great. Take that NBN and the Liberal party.

That's a lot of pizza for one little bear.
ReplyDeleteYes but the entourage must be maintained as well. I find I get a lot more out of them if they are well feed.
